Mockingjay is the third and final book in the Hunger Games series, and I definitely did not like it as much as the first one, although it was slightly better than Catching Fire. The plot was a little hard to follow, and I think Suzanne Collins pushed it a little too much on the death this time. Now that she is a rebel, Katniss lives in District 13 with her family and friends–almost all the districts have been destroyed by the Capitol. There is an official full-blown war between the rebels and the Capitol, and President Snow has captured Peeta, along with some other rebels. Katniss is the “Mockingjay”, the rebel’s symbol, and after the rebels try to get Peeta out of the Capitol, Katniss is the target of President Snow’s wrath. At the end of the book, the war ends and Katniss finally chooses between Peeta and Gale. I really liked the end of the book because everything wraps up neatly; but I would have liked the overall story more if not so many people died!
