This is a fantastic page-turner about a unique boy who has to go through some pretty tough times. It keeps you laughing, crying, and cheering throughout.

August Pullman is not quite your average boy. Sure, he does normal things, and he acts normal, but he doesn’t quite look normal…..throughout this book August (Auggie for short) learns how to build up self-confidence and matures a lot. Even though he thinks it will be the worst thing that has ever happened to him (besides his face), his parents make him go to school, and Auggie eventually realizes that school is a lot better than he ever could have hoped for, even though his face is quite extraordinary. The part that I really liked about Wonder is it has a good ending, and it really leaves you feeling satisfied at the end. This book will make you want to laugh, cry, cheer, and root for August Pullman. Wonder is for ages 9-13, although anyone above 13 could read it—this is a book for everyone. If you enjoy sentimental but gripping books, this is the thing for you!

I love how he knows he’s different and is able to cope if this were real life (and I am sure it Is somewhere ) he would definitely be my hero I think we forget that if we were in these situations we probably could not cope, after all the toughest “soldiers ” get the hardest battles

I think it shows us that when we get scared or something bad happens we can’t just hide in a hole cause this is real life and there is no way around that I also love how this book tests your emotions and leaves you wanting to be a better person because of it
